A timeless classic - Recipes and Reviews

My favourite Recipe

Over the years, I’ve tried countless ways to make salt and vinegar fries, but my favorite recipe is simple and always hits the spot. With this you can pair this lovely recipe with whatever you like!

There are many ways of doing this, but this method is the best one I have tried so far. It is simple and easy, just like how mothers make it with love.

  1. Russet Potatoes
  2. White Vinegar
  3. Vinegar Powder
  4. Sea salt

Elevating your fries to the next level

Salt and vinegar fries are delicious on their own, but having the right dip can take them to a whole new level of flavor. For a classic pairing, ketchup adds that touch of sweetness that balances the tanginess of vinegar, while mayo introduces that rich and creamy contrast, especially when enhanced with garlic or a bit of spice.

If you’re in the mood for something fresh and herby, ranch dressing complements the fries with a cool, zesty flavor, while barbecue sauce offers a smoky sweetness. Hot sauce such as Sriracha or Tabasco can turn up the heat, making each bite bold and spicy. Cheese dips, like a melted cheddar or nacho cheese blend, bring a gooey indulgence perfect for a treat.

With so many options of dips and sauces out there, you can be creative as much as you like, I personally like mixing melted cheddar and sriracha sauce to complement my fries.

Salt and Vinegar Fries: A tangy festival favourite.

Recently my beloved salt and vinegar fries have made an appearance at high-profile events like the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival at Walt Disney World in Florida. Part of the Fry Basket’s Menu, these fries are a staple of their Fry Flight, which some options included like the BBQ Bacon Fries and Sweet Casserole Fries. Madison Owens, a blogger on the Mickey Blog said that the plant-based salt and vinegar fries have just the right amount of salt, compared to the BBQ Bacon Fries that has the most flavour amongst the 3. It Is often found that most people find the classic taste of salt and vinegar fries might be a little underwhelming compared to other kinds of fries that was offered at the Fry Basket. But that doesn’t mean that it is the end of the world for Salt and Vinegar Fries fanatics as opinions are not supposed to deter you from eating what we loved. You can read more about the Fry Basket menu review in EPCOT at WDW here.

My favourite picnic spot.

One of my favourite picnic spots is Campbell Park in Stony Plain, Alberta. With its small park surrounded by houses, people neighboring the park always use it to hang out with their lovely neighbors or parents to talk to their friends while they let their children in the small playground. When I always go to this park to visit old friends, we always have a small picnic just a few meters from their house and everyone brings their own snacks, and of course I have my Salt and Vinegar Crisps to share with everyone! It is always a sweet and timeless reminder to me of my roots when I first came here to Canada as a young teenager with a dream of starting my life in this country. You can out this small park on Google Maps.
